Favorite Character

My favorite character is Steven from the book Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pies by Jordan Sonnenblick. He is caring and loving to his brother. Steven is also passionate. His brother Jeffrey got diagnosed with cancer. He is loving and caring because he plays games with his brother when he asks him to since he has cancer. He is very caring to his brother since he is going through a difficut time. For example, Jeffrey's hair is falling out and he is currently bald and kids are making fun of him. Steven felt bad so to show how much he cared, in the middle of the night he went and shaved his head so it was bald like his brother's. This shows that he cares what is happening to his brother he just doesn't let it pass by him. Steven is also passionate. He loves to play drums. He is in the All-City Jazz Band. He practices a lot and is passionate about his drumming experience. For example, one night after he ate dinner he went in the basement and played the drums for hours. He didn't even realize what time it was. He plays the drums like it's breathing. This shows that Steven is passionate about playing the drums. Steven is my favorite character from this book because he is caring and loving to his brother who has cancer and he is passionate about playing his drums.
